  • Part-Time Position (45.6 fortnightly hours). Fixed Term Contract Ending 30 June 2026.
  • $83,275 per annum pro rata + Super + Leave Loading + Salary Packaging. 
  • Located in Port Adelaide.

Who we are looking for 

Join us as a Children and Parenting Support (CaPS) Case Worker, where you'll provide essential services including intake, needs assessment, referrals, group work, and counseling to parents with children under 12 in our nominated region. Working from both RASA offices and community-based sites, you'll play an important role in promoting family resilience, supporting children's well-being, and enhancing parental capacity.

To be successful in this role you will need: 

  • Tertiary qualifications (AQF level 7) in social work, Psychology, Counselling, or Social Services.  
  • Demonstrated experience in working with children. 
  • Demonstrated experience in providing case management.  

 

It would be a bonus if you have: 

  • Experience in developing and delivering community based group work to vulnerable communities and working with Aboriginal and culturally diverse clients. 

 

What you will be doing  

  • Conduct comprehensive child-centered assessments for families, develop case plans, and provide direct interventions such as information sharing, counseling, and referrals.
  • Deliver evidence-based parenting programs like Circle of Security & Incredible Years, supported playgroups, and customized workshops covering relevant topics for parents.
  • Develop web-based support and resources focusing on parenting and children's development.
  • Actively engage with the community, gather feedback, and participate in recruitment efforts.
  • Ensure timely recording of all case work and data collection on client information systems and DSS Exchange.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, to streamline referrals and improve case work strategies.
