  • $83,275 per annum pro rata + Super + Salary Packaging* (to increase your take home pay)

Who we are looking for 

We're seeking a Case Worker for our Redress Support Service (RSS) to help individuals who have experienced childhood sexual abuse in institutions to access the National Redress Scheme. As a Case Worker, you'll provide direct support to applicants, ensuring they receive culturally sensitive and trauma-informed services. Additionally, you'll collaborate with other agencies to ensure timely assistance for our clients.

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • Tertiary qualification (AQF Level 7) in Social Work, Psychology or related discipline or demonstrated knowledge and competencies appropriate to the work. 

  • Experience working in case management with complex client matters. 

  • Experience in trauma informed practice. 

 

It would be a bonus if you have: 

  • Experience working with clients who have experienced child sexual abuse and Out-of-Home-Care. 

  • Experience in community engagement. 

  • Experience working with individuals, couples or families in a therapeutic context. 

 

What you will be doing  

  • Provide direct support to clients by referring them to services, advocating for their needs, and managing cases collaboratively.

  • Assist in handling complex client issues using evidence-based methods like holistic screening and Restorative Practices.

  • Facilitate access to services while maintaining a safe and respectful environment for clients and staff.

  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions using the Penelope client information system.

  • Follow the Redress Support Service Activity Work Plan and Case Practice Manual.

  • Foster partnerships with other agencies for strategic collaboration.

  • Conduct outreach to clients in regional areas or correctional facilities.

  • Manage caseloads effectively and close cases as needed.

  • Participate in training on trauma-informed practice and complex case management.

  • Deliver culturally relevant services and ensure cultural safety in all aspects of practice.
