Children's Contact Service Worker

  • Multiple casual positions available. 
  • Weekend availability is required.
  • $42.26 per hour (plus penalties for working weekends) + Super + Salary Packaging* (to increase your take home pay).
  • Located in Berri.

Who we are looking for 

Join us to support children, parents and other family members to access a safe, secure and comfortable Children's Contact Service. 

To be successful in this role you will: 

  • Experience working with children and parents and ability to work with separated families with complex needs. 

It would be a bonus if you: 

  • Experience working with vulnerable people.
  • Experience working with families. 

 

What you will be doing  

Use your skills to contribute to the efficient running of a Children's Contact Service, where you:

  • Provide a professional and sensitive service to a diversity of family backgrounds and special needs.
  • Observe supervised contact visits and changeovers, recording factual (non- interpretive) observational notes.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff when dealing with more complex clients and child refusals.
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping for case notes and enter data into RASA's Client Information System

*How Salary Packaging can increase your take home pay 

Salary packing is an entitlement granted by the Federal Government to workers in approved non-government and health organisations. Salary Packaging can increase your take home salary by creating tax free earnings. In effect, $15,899of your wage can be paid tax free in each fringe benefit tax year. This 'tax free' amount is in addition to the tax-free threshold of$18,200for income.
