Who we are looking for

We’re looking for a Systems Trainer with strong instructional design skills, excellent communication abilities, and a talent for turning complex technical concepts into clear, practical training. You will be highly adaptable, confident working with users of all digital literacy levels, and skilled at providing hands-on support that builds capability and drives successful system adoption.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Functional knowledge of Salesforce (preferably Nonprofit Cloud/NPSP) or a similar complex client management system, understanding user interface and basic operational workflow.
  • Specific, demonstrated experience and effective strategies for training individuals with low digital literacy, fear of technology, or significant barriers to digital adoption.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and delivering practical, hands-on training to a diverse adult workforce, ideally within the community, health, or non-profit sectors.

It would be a bonus if you have:

  • Certificate IV (AQF level 4) qualification in Training & Assessment of equivalent.

What you will be doing

  • Design simplified, practical, and highly visual training content (e.g., job aids, process maps, short videos, physical "tip sheets") that moves beyond traditional software documentation.
  • Create learning pathways that focus on doing the new process rather than understanding the underlying technology, employing hands-on, scenario-based learning and minimised technical jargon.
  • Ensure all training directly ties system use (Pirkutu, HRIS, Payroll, and Other Systems) to the new cohesive RASA global business processes (the why and how of the work), making the change relevant to staff’s daily responsibilities.
  • Conduct hands-on, small-group, and one-on-one training sessions using adult learning principles, focusing on patience, repetition, and immediate application of skills in a safe environment.
  • Lead the on-the-ground stabilisation efforts, including regular "floor-walking" (visiting users at their desks) to provide in-the-moment coaching and troubleshooting, ensuring new processes stick.
  • Work with Managers to identify and mentor local "Champions" or "Super Users" to build sustainable peer-to-peer support across the organisation.
