To be successful in this role you will have:
- CPA/CA qualified
- Bachelor’s Degree (AQF Level 7) in accounting.
- Experience with computerised financial accounting systems.
- Advanced Excel Skills.
- Demonstrated experience with reconciliations and problem solving.
What you will be doing
The Accountant will help maintain accurate financial records and prepare a range of financial and management reports by undertaking daily and monthly account reconciliations, preparation of accounts receivable invoices and monitoring of debtor balances.
- Maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and associated ledgers through daily, monthly and yearly procedures and reconciliations.
- Monitor and upload financial information from a range of standalone systems to the general ledger, including retrieval of data, verifying the accuracy and completeness of the data before uploading it to the general ledger.
- Undertake daily bank reconciliation, including troubleshooting discrepancies.
- Prepare and post regular and ad-hoc general ledger journals including internal cost allocations, accruals, prepayments and costing corrections.
- Prepare accounts receivable invoices and monitoring of debtors across the organisation
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly management reporting by compiling financial data for management reporting and assisting in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses.
