Who we are looking for
This role will suit someone who enjoys supporting others with technical expertise, works confidently with systems and processes, and contributes positively to continuous improvement within a collaborative finance team. We’re looking for a detail-focused and reliable finance professional who brings strong accounts payable experience, sound judgement, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Proficiency in the Windows environment using Microsoft Office products such as Excel spreadsheets.
- Experience in accounts payable in a medium to large sized organisation.
It would be a bonus if you have:
- Experience with Accounting software packages.
- Certificate IV (AQF level 4) qualification in Administration or Bookkeeping.
What you will be doing
The Senior Accounts Officer is responsible for all administrative task related to RASA’s credit card facility, providing technical support (Level 2 support) to the Accounts Payable team, assisting in the provision of Transition to Independent Living Allowance (TILA) grants and provide support to the Finance Manager as required.
- Ensure accurate and timely keying of credit card invoices, reconciliation and related administrative tasks (e.g top ups, fraudulent transactions, credit card application/cancellation etc)
- Provide technical support and escalation pathway for the Accounts Payable team
- Understand TILA grant provision requirements and work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver efficient and effective service.
- Monitor relevant help desk queues as instructed (e.g Gift cards)
- Monitor stock on hand as instructed (e.g Gift Cards, cabcharges)
- Contribute to the identification of process improvement opportunities within the Finance team.
- Participate in process and system improvement projects as required by the Finance Manager.
- Provide other administrative support to the Finance Manager when required to ensure that RASA’s service objectives are met.
