About the role

The Australian Institute of Social Relations (AISR) is a Registered Training Organisation within Relationships Australia South Australia (RASA). As part of the AISR team, the Educator provides accredited and non-accredited training to community groups, organisations, government departments and individuals. The role includes supporting the design of learning programs, delivering training and formal assessment aligned to nationally recognised qualifications, as well as non-accredited courses or workshops covering a wide range of topics relevant to the community services and health sector, in a variety of delivery modes and in locations across South Australia.

 

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • Certificate IV (AQF level 4) in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
  • A current qualification, in the relevant subject area, including one or more of the following:
    • Cert IV of Community Services (AQF level 4)
    • Diploma of Community Services (AQF level 5)
    • Diploma of Counselling (AQF level 5)
    • Diploma of Financial Counselling (AQF level 5)
    • Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management (AQF level 6)
    • Graduate Diploma of Family Dispute Resolution (AQF level 8)
  • Extensive experience within the community services and health sector.

It would be a bonus if you have: 

  • Experience of administration tasks required in a Registered Training Organisation.
  • Bachelor (AQF level 8) in Education, Adult and Vocational Education or other relevant qualification.

 

What you will be doing  

  • Teach community services vocational qualifications and non-accredited workshops in the nominated subject area.
  • Deliver and assess accredited and non-accredited learning in line with the Australian Qualification Framework (where applicable) and discipline best practice.
  • Support Senior Educators and the Team Leader, to develop a broad range of accredited and non-accredited learning programs including content design and sequencing, mapping to units of competency, assessment strategies and embedding student support.
  • Provide direct student support to enable completions and achievement of competencies.
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement and RTO compliance activities.
