About the role
The Australian Institute of Social Relations (AISR) is a Registered Training Organisation within Relationships Australia South Australia (RASA). As part of the AISR team, the Industry Advisor works alongside trainers and assessors, to contribute to training and assessment processes, ensuring alignment with current industry standards.
We are also open to hearing from experienced financial counsellors who may not currently hold the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment but are interested in contributing in an Industry Advisor capacity. In this role, practitioners would work alongside a qualified trainer and assessor to co-facilitate online tutorials, support the assessment of student work, and provide industry guidance to ensure the program remains grounded in current practice.
This role provides an opportunity to contribute to the development of the profession by supporting new practitioners entering the financial counselling workforce, while sharing practical knowledge and experience from the sector.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Extensive experience within the community services and health sector to the programs requiring delivery and assessment.
- A current qualification (AQF level 4 or equivalent) in the relevant subject area to the programs requiring training delivery and assessment
- All currency Industry licences and memberships relevant for the subject areas requiring training delivery and assessment
It would be a bonus if you have:
- Experience delivering training and assessing competence in a vocational context, including familiarity with adult learning principles
- Extensive experience with designing and implementing competency-based learning programs, tailored to industry requirements
- In-depth knowledge of the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and VET sector compliance requirements
What you will be doing
- Drawing on industry expertise and extensive experience in the community services sector collaborate to design and implement competency-based learning programs.
- Deliver training and assess competence under supervision, ensuring alignment with vocational standards and industry best practices.
- Deliver training and assessment in accordance with the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and VET sector compliance requirements.
- Support the delivery of training in a variety of modes, ensuring accessibility and engagement.
- Maintain formal student records, including attendance and evaluation data, ensuring compliance with VET sector regulations and organisational standards.
- Actively pursue professional development opportunities to keep knowledge and skills current, ensuring training relevance and quality.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and networks to enhance the delivery of programs.
