Therapeutic Case Worker - Redress

  • $93,669.00 pa + Super + Salary Packaging*
  • Fixed term until 30 June 2027

Make a meaningful difference by supporting people affected by institutional childhood sexual abuse to navigate the National Redress Scheme. Provide trauma-informed therapeutic support, case management and advocacy to help clients navigate a complex process while supporting their healing, wellbeing and access to the right services.

Who we are looking for 

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • Tertiary qualification (AQF Level 7) in Social Work, Psychology or related discipline or demonstrated knowledge and competencies appropriate to the work.
  • Experience working with complex client matters.
  • Experience in applying therapeutic practice in case work
  • Experience in trauma informed and trauma responsive practice.

It would be a bonus if you have: 

  • Experience working with clients who have experienced Out-of-Home-Care.
  • Experience in community engagement.
  • Experience working with individuals, couples or families in a therapeutic context.

What you will be doing  

  • Providing a direct therapeutic and case management response to clients through assessment, counselling, referral, advocacy, collaborative case management and service coordination.
  • Delivering trauma-informed, trauma-responsive and culturally appropriate therapeutic interventions that support clients’ emotional wellbeing, recovery and engagement with the National Redress Scheme.
  • Providing therapeutic support through case work and therapeutic services, including social and emotional wellbeing groupwork for clients accessing the Redress Support Services.
